Members of the media slammed former President Donald Trump on social media during his Conservative Political Action Conference address, describing the speech as riddled with lies over the 2020 election results.

“The former president is lying a lot,” CNN reporter Daniel Dale tweeted.

“Our election process is worse than that in many cases of the third-world country, you know that, you saw what was going on,” Trump said during his speech of the election. “Even if you consider nothing else, it is undeniable that election rules were illegally changed at the last minute and almost every swing state with the procedures rewritten by local politicians, you’re not allowed to do that, and local judges.”

Other columnists, reporters, and pundits on cable news networks took issue with Trump’s coronavirus response while he was in office, the music that was played ahead of his speech, and his supporters who “don’t care about facts.”

TRUMP TEASES POTENTIAL THIRD RUN TO ENTHUSIASTIC CPAC CROWD

During the CPAC speech, Trump floated a possible 2024 run, which was met with applause from attendees.

“Actually, as you know, they just lost the White House, but it’s one of those things,” he said. “But who knows? Who knows? I may even decide to beat them for a third time, OK?”

He also shut down “fake news” rumors that he would break from the Republican Party and start his own ahead of the next presidential election.

“We’re not starting new parties. You know, they kept saying, ‘He’s gonna start a brand new party.’ We have the Republican Party,” he said. “It’s going to unite and be stronger than ever before. I am not starting a new party.”
