Two people are dead after a string of early morning shootings at 7-Eleven locations in Southern California on Monday.

Police officers responded to a shooting at around 4 a.m. at a 7-Eleven in Brea, where they found a male employee had been shot and killed.
“This does appear to be a robbery that turned into a homicide. Our detectives are actively working on the crime scene and all of the leads that they have so far,” a spokesperson for the Brea Police Department told reporters.
A similar shooting was reported in Santa Ana around 3:23 a.m., as reported by Fox11. Police found a man dead in the 7-Eleven parking lot with a gunshot wound.
Two other people were shot outside a 7-Eleven in La Habra during an apparent armed robbery around 4:55 a.m. Police found a cash register opened on the floor of the convenience store at the location. The two victims were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive, according to officials.
All three incidents are believed to be connected based on preliminary evidence, police said. A photo of a potential suspect has been released by Brea police.

A fourth shooting took place nearby at a 7-Eleven around 2 a.m. in Riverside, where a customer was shot in the head. The victim is in grave condition as of Tuesday afternoon. Police have not indicated whether it was connected to the other three shootings, according to the outlet.
The shootings coincide with National 7/11 Day, during which customers receive free Slurpees at 7-Eleven locations.
