Tim Allen took to Twitter with a question that caused “woke” liberals to go on the defensive.

On Monday, Allen posted a tweet asking, “Who is the face of woke. Do wokees have a club house in someone’s backyard or maybe a cute yet safe playpen somewhere?”
The question quickly stirred controversy as critics slammed Allen.

“Who hurt you, Tim?” author Valerie Bertinelli tweeted in response. “You need a hug?”
Another wrote: “Using ‘woke’ and ‘social justice warrior’ as pejoratives is still the wildest sh** to me. Utterly mind-bending that so many have latched onto the idea that ‘being aware and sympathetic to the plight of others’ is this horrible thing causing the collapse of society or whatever.”
Yet one Twitter user offered a definition that likened woke culture to “hyper-prioritizing and over-focusing on the minority” and gave the example of allowing biological male athletes, such as Lia Thomas, to compete in women’s sports.

Last month, Allen took heat for a tweet about Biden’s appearance on 60 Minutes.

However, many came to his defense, questioning the attempts to cancel Allen.
“Really? … Twitter is trying to cancel sitcom dad, Tim Allen, for telling a dad joke? … buttery soft,” one Twitter user wrote.
Another said: “[Biden] probably actually did ask this, knowing him. He’d want to make sure it didn’t cut into pudding time.”
